Structure your Space
Decide what belongs in one Space, when to create chapters, and which rules should remain local.
Create one Space around one recognizable community identity and operating boundary. Members should know who runs it, what they joined, and where its rules apply.
A single Space works well when the same team owns membership, moderation, Missions, and local Points. Consider related child Spaces when chapters need their own teams, schedules, rules, or Sponsor work.
Define before you invite
Write down:
- the Space name and purpose;
- who it serves;
- whether membership is public, invited, or approved;
- the conduct standard;
- who can publish Missions;
- who can review proof and disputes;
- what information Sponsors may receive;
- how a Member leaves or asks for help.
Do not use one broad Space merely to avoid governance work. A boundary that is too large makes permissions vague and reporting misleading. A boundary that is too narrow fragments the Member experience.
The right structure is the smallest set of Spaces that matches real ownership and responsibility.
