Incentives
Understand how rewards, recognition, backing, and reputation encourage useful action without paying for empty activity.
An incentive works when it strengthens the action the community already values.
ZYNC can combine:
- funded rewards for qualifying campaign outcomes;
- Points for progress and recognition;
- Credits for cash-backed, withdrawable rewards;
- streaks and milestones for healthy repetition;
- earned ZYNC for qualifying verified contribution;
- reputation and discovery signals for trustworthy participation.
The system should resist incentives that reward volume without quality. Creating low-value accounts, duplicating proof, or manufacturing shallow activity must not become the easiest path.
Match the instrument to the goal
Use a funded reward when a Sponsor or community has a clear budget and outcome. Use Points when recognition, access, or progression inside one Space is enough. Use Credits when the outcome is cash-backed and withdrawable. ZYNC emission follows network contribution rules, not a Mission author’s arbitrary promise.
Measure side effects. If a reward causes rushed submissions, reviewer overload, or exclusion, redesign the Mission rather than merely increasing checks.
