Emission and founding
Understand activity-coupled earning, the founding sub-pool, decay, and the limits that bound early distribution.
The Open Contribution Pool uses activity-coupled emission. A period with no qualifying verified contribution emits nothing. Contributors earn the delta produced by eligible work under that period’s published rules.
Ratified genesis parameters include:
- an emission half-life of 26 epochs;
- a 50 million ZYNC founding sub-pool;
- a global founding drain cap of 42,000 ZYNC per day, which can only move downward;
- a founding hard end after 730 days.
The founding phase can apply a decaying multiplier earned through early qualifying activity. It cannot be purchased.
Member and Member+ passes are temporary founding-phase utility sales. New pass sales stop permanently when the phase closes by depletion or its hard deadline. Existing passes may retain their published utility, but they are not renewed and their receipts do not enter recurring platform revenue.
Why the bounds matter
Decay limits early concentration over time. The daily cap limits distribution speed. The hard end prevents a founding program from becoming permanent. Activity-coupling prevents issuance when no qualifying contribution exists.
Actual Member earning still depends on eligibility, verification, current epoch rules, and remaining allocation. No page should promise a fixed personal amount before those conditions are known.
