Missions
See how a community turns a desired real-world outcome into a clear, verifiable unit of participation.
A Mission is a specific action a community invites Members to complete. It connects intent to evidence: what should happen, who can participate, how completion is checked, and what follows approval.
Good Missions remove guesswork. Before a Member starts, the Mission should make these facts clear:
- the outcome being requested;
- eligibility and timing;
- the proof or signals required;
- how a decision will be made;
- the funded reward or recognition, if any;
- limits, capacity, and dispute terms.
A Mission is not the same as a Sponsor campaign. A campaign can fund and group one or more Missions around a business or community goal. The Mission remains the atomic unit of action and verification.
Missions can be one-time, repeated, sequential, or part of a recurring community ritual. Their shape may vary, but their promise stays the same: Members can understand the work before doing it, and reviewers can judge it against published rules rather than improvising afterward.
