Community Launches
Learn how a Space can offer a Community Coin without spending Members’ Points or confusing it with ZYNC.
A Community Launch lets a Space offer its own on-chain Community Coin on an automated price curve. It is optional and separate from the normal ZYNC Member journey.
The shortest version is:
Your Points can qualify you for early purchase access. Your Points stay intact. You pay with stablecoin, and you receive the Community Coin.
The two windows
1. Contributor window
ZYNC takes a snapshot of Points earned in that Space and derives a personal purchase allowance for that Launch. The allowance is a limit, not a balance and not free money.
- Only eligible Space Members can buy.
- The allowance is shown in the chain’s stablecoin: USDC on Base or USDT on TON.
- A confirmed buy reduces the remaining allowance.
- Failed or unfilled attempts do not consume allowance.
- Points from another Space do not count.
2. Open window
After the contributor window closes, any remaining curve allocation becomes publicly buyable. The same price curve continues; Contributors do not receive a private discount or insider allocation.
What happens to Points?
Nothing. A Community Launch does not migrate, convert, burn, reserve, or spend them.
If you have 1,000 Points in one Space and 100 in another, each Launch derives its own allowance from its own Space. Buying or selling either coin leaves both Points balances unchanged. Selling returns stablecoin under the curve; it does not restore your contributor allowance.
What does the coin do?
A coin begins as a Community Coin. It may express culture, identity, collecting, or speculation, but its existence does not create a useful product feature.
ZYNC calls it a Utility-enabled Community Token only after a specific holder use is already live, enforceable, and disclosed with its limits and change rules. A roadmap idea is not current utility.
Community Coin is not ZYNC
ZYNC records network contribution and has its own governance and Space-support rules. A Community Coin is a Space-chosen asset on a separate curve. Buying one does not mint ZYNC, create contribution history, or improve ZYNC standing.
The word backing belongs to the separate feature where held ZYNC weight supports Spaces. A Community Coin transaction is simply a buy or sell.
Chains and availability
Base and TON are both mandatory day-one product rails. Each Launch still chooses one chain and stays there for its full lifecycle; multi-chain availability never means buying, selling, or settling the same Launch on both.
The Telegram Mini App exposes TON cryptocurrency functionality only and uses TON Connect. Web may offer TON and Base, while Farcaster and Base App use Base. Base separately hosts the ZYNC token and Governance; that does not make a Community Launch Base-only.
Operator planning, quotes, deployment preflight, and testnet contracts are implemented. The public Member buy/sell lifecycle is not open: the current Member controls remain disabled, and TON has no member buy-authorization path. Base and TON must also pass their signer, production configuration, listener, graduation, reconciliation, funded-canary, incident, and approval gates before ZYNC claims production chain readiness.
The Member workflow remains Planned. See What is available now?.
