Fund rewards
Understand the terms and budget that back a promised Mission reward.
A Mission should not advertise a funded reward without enough committed budget for the published qualification rules.
Before launch, define:
- reward amount, item, or benefit per qualifying completion;
- maximum qualifying count;
- total required budget;
- separate Sponsor-funded Credits fees for creation or activation, per-action platform use, verifier costs, and any program-defined Creator or Community compensation;
- timing and release conditions;
- treatment of unused, rejected, reversed, or refundable amounts;
- the operator allowed to approve the funding action.
Keep the Member promise simple
Members should see the full reward they can receive and how it will be delivered. The Campaign reward pool reaches earning Members in full. Fees are paid separately in Credits and never reduce it; a reward may also be delivered externally or from inventory, such as a gift card or voucher.
Funding state must remain separate from Mission publication and approval. A draft budget is not funded. An approved completion does not become paid until its reward transition succeeds.
Reconcile the Mission’s maximum liability before opening it. If terms change, create a new clear version rather than silently weakening the promise for people already participating.
